What is Root Canal Treatment or RCT? Our tooth comprises of three layers Enamel, Dentin & Pulp. When the decay or caries is present within the first two layers, dental filling can be done to restore the tooth. But when the caries reaches the Pulp, it causes inflammation or infection of pulp, where the Endodontic Treatment or Root Canal Treatment has to be done. Followed by RCT, Dental Filling is done and the tooth is covered by a Crown. If RCT is not done, then the inevitable option left is Tooth Extraction.
